Jr Animator

About the Role

As a Junior Animator at Y&D, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our imaginative ideas to life. You will collaborate with a team of seasoned animators and artists to create visually stunning and compelling animations.

Responsibilities

• Animation Creation: Produce 2D or 3D animations that breathe life into characters, objects, and environments, adhering to the project’s artistic vision.
• Storyboard Interpretation: Translate storyboards and concepts into engaging animated sequences.
• Asset Development: Assist in creating and optimizing assets for animations, including character rigs, models, and textures.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the creative team, including artists, designers, and directors, to ensure the animation aligns with the project’s vision.
• Feedback Integration: Embrace feedback and iterate on animations to achieve the desired outcome.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality standards and ensure animations are technically sound.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and solve animation-related challenges and technical issues.

Requirements

• Educational Background: A degree or diploma in Animation, Fine Arts, or a related field
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing your animation work and proficiency in animation software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Maya, Blender)
• Software Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard animation software and tools
• Creativity: A keen eye for detail, a strong sense of visual storytelling, and the ability to think outside the box
• Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies
• Passion: A passion for animation and a desire to grow and develop in the field
• Bonus: Experience with 3D modeling, rigging, or special effects would be a plus.
